Service Description
Providing Quantitative Fit Testing for 2 different N95 masks approved by HealthShare Victoria (masks provided by FTA). Upon completion you will have your fit test reports emailed to you within 24 hours. You must be CLEAN SHAVEN. No smoking, eating or drinking 30 minutes before the test. Location: Victoria University, St Albans Campus Building 4C Level 4 room 4C428. What is fit testing? Fit testing is a way to determine if a respirator is properly fitted to an individual's face. What are the types of fit testing? There are two types of fit testing: qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative fit testing relies on the individual's sense of taste, smell, or irritation to determine a proper fit, while quantitative fit testing uses equipment to measure the amount of leakage around the respirator's seal. How often do I need to be fit tested? The frequency of fit testing depends on the type of respirator and the individual's job duties. It is typically recommended that fit testing be done at least annually, but some organizations may require more frequent testing. Can I fit test myself? No, fit testing should be done by a trained professional. How long does fit testing take? The duration of fit testing varies, but it typically takes around 15-20 minutes. What should I do if my respirator fails the fit test? If a respirator fails the fit test, it should be adjusted or replaced to ensure a proper fit. Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change unexpectedly, and we want to accommodate our guests as best we can. However, we also have to maintain a strict cancellation policy due to the nature of our business. If you need to refund or reschedule your booking, please let us know as soon as possible at info@fta.net.au. If you cancel more than 48 hours before your scheduled arrival time, we will be happy to provide you with a refund (minus 15% admin fee) or reschedule your booking for a future date at no additional cost. However, if you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled arrival time, we will be unable to reschedule your booking and you will forfeit your booking fee. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but we hope you understand that we have reserved the space specifically for your booking and may have turned away other potential clients. If you have any questions or concerns about our cancellation policy, please don't hesitate to contact us. We will do our best to work with you and find a solution that works for everyone.
